About Brigid
Daughter of the Dagda. Patron of poetry, healing, and smithcraft. Her sacred flame at Kildare burned for centuries. Her festival, Imbolc on February 1, marks the first stirrings of spring. The Christian saint Brigid absorbed much of her cult.
