About Raijin

Creates thunder by pounding a ring of drums. Often paired with Fujin at temple gates, the two carved as guardian demons. Sometimes shown with three fingers for the past, present, and future. Parents in Japan warned children to hide their bellies during storms lest Raijin eat them.
